WTO investigates Thailand's complaints on US anti-dumping duties
The World Trade Organisation on Thursday (Oct 26) began a formal investigation into Thailand's charges that US antidumping duties on shrimp imports are hurting its shrimping industries.
The US is the largest market for Thai shrimps and accounts for half its total exports.
Thailand's first request was blocked by the US last month.
Thailand's shrimp industry groups said that the import duties threaten the livelihood and sustainability of its shrimp industry
