Lysine prices in China early this week were still seen on an upward trend, with prices rising by a certain extent versus last weekend's closing prices. Current lysine prices (retail prices for 1-2 tons) have reached the level of RMB50.0-52.0/kg, while the retail prices for large purchases ranged between RMB48.0-49.0/kg. 

The overall market situation early this week was still seen on an upbeat mood, with lysine supply remains in extreme shortage. According trade participants, the price offers issued by CJ and Ajinomoto have reached the level of RMB49.0/kg.
