Russia lifts ban on meat transit via Ukraine
Russia is once again allowing meat that has transited Ukraine onto its territory, an official with the Russian Agriculture Ministry said Wednesday, news agency Prime-Tass reported Wednesday (Oct 25).
In late January Russia, citing health concerns, imposed a ban on meat imports from Ukraine as well as on meat that had transited Ukraine.
Russian and Ukrainian officials agreed earlier this month that meat imports from Ukraine would also be resumed soon.
