The Kaohsiung branch of Taiwan's Breakfast Soybean Procurement Association, or BSPA, has bought 46,000 tonnes of US soybean from trading house Mitsui in a tender concluded Wednesday (Oct 25), an association official said.

Mitsui will supply the soybean at a premium of 182.75 US cents a bushel to the Chicago Board of Trade's January contract.

If the soybeans are to be shipped from the US Gulf, they should reach Taiwan Nov 25-Dec. 9.

If they are shipped from the Pacific Northwest, they should reach Taiwan Dec 10-24.
