Argentina's September grain stocks up 20 percent on-year
Stocks of major grains and oilseeds in Argentina totalled 20.66 million tonnes as of September 30, according to the latest provisional data from the National Office for the Control of Agricultural Trade, Oncca.
Stocks of corn, soy, sunseed, wheat and 59 "other crops" are up 20 percent from 17.22 million tonnes held at the same time last year.
The "other crops" category includes goods such as peanuts and rice.
Soy stocks totalled 12.94 million tonnes, corn stocks totalled 3.61 million tonnes and wheat stocks totalled 2.46 million tonnes.
Argentina's grain storage capacity in May totalled 49.96 million tonnes while utilised capacity was at 41 percent. The country has 3,033 storage plants, from small silos to large industrial storage facilities.
