China's Lysine Imports Down 1,370 MT in September; Exports Up By 458 MT

According to China's General Administration of Customs, China imported 7,027 metric tons of lysine in September 2004, down by 1,370 metric tons from August.

 

China's accumulative lysine imports from January to September amounted to 53,128 metric tons, down by 3,384 metric tons compared with the same period in 2003.

 

Major lysine exporters to China are Indonesia, USA, Thailand and South Korea.

China exported 1,289 metric tons of lysine in September 2004, up by 458 metric tons from August.

 

From January to September, China's accumulative lysine exports totaled 17,303 metric tons, up by 155% compared with the export volume of 6,788 metric tons in the same period of 2003.

 

In September, China's lysine products were mainly exported to the Netherlands, Venezuela, Poland and Canada.
