Korean feed producer Farmsco launches earlier this month the grand opening of their newly upgraded feed factory in Jeju, South Korea.
For the past three months upgrade took place with the replacement of Jeju plant's aging production machinery with the latest equipment and modern production systems.
Work on the upgrading of the feed mill was completed last month, and pilot production with the new feed machinery commenced at the end of September. On October 4, the opening ceremony was held at the Jeju feed plant and attended by government officials, business customers and roughly 200 other invitees.
The upgrades at the plant will improve productivity and profitability for Farmsco.
The launch of the plant will help give the Jeju Livestock brand a boost and help the development of the livestock industry on the island, where there are already a number of feed manufacturers actively producing livestock feed in the region.
Farmsco engages in the manufacture and sale of animal feeds in South Korea. It is also involved in slaughtering livestock; and processing and preserving meat and meat products. The company was formerly known as Daesang Farmsco Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Farmsco in 2009. Farmsco is based in Anseong, South Korea, and a subsidiary of Jeil Holdings Co. Ltd.
