Cupric sulphate

Global economic turmoil depressed copper futures prices, prompting copper sulphate producers to reduce prices amid soft demand.

Transacted prices by local producers were around RMB15,600/tonne ex-factory, while deals concluded in the general market slid to RMB16,500-16,800/tonne.

Demand for copper sulphate is unlikely to improve in the near term as buyers stay cautious.

Zinc sulphate

Zinc sulphate prices remained stable despite a soft manganese market.

Transacted prices by major producers remained at RMB4,900-5,100/tonne ex-factory. In the general market, traders concluded deals in the range of RMB5,200-5,300/tonne.

Zinc sulphate prices are unlikely to rise prominently as zinc market stays weak while feed demand is slow.

Manganese sulphate

Although supplies were limited, the upward momentum of manganese sulphate market was limited due to lacklustre demand.

Transacted prices of humidified manganese sulphate by major producers in were between RMB3,600/tonne and RMB3,800/tonne ex-factory. General market prices remained at RMB3,700-4,100/tonne.

Prices of manganese sulphate are expected to stay around current levels as the effects of slack demand and limited supply outweigh each other.

Ferrous sulphate

Lower ingredients costs and flat demand exerted pressure on China's ferrous sulphate market. However, prices stood stable amid limited supplies while a producer in Sichuan halted operation.

Ex-factory price quotes by a major producer in Sichuan were at RMB500-550/tonne while traders concluded deals in the general market at RMB700/tonne.

Limited availability of ferrous sulphate will lend support to the market although demand is seen soft.
