China's September corn prices up 15.2 percent on-year

 

The average wholesale price of corn in China's production areas was RMB1,547/ tonnes in September, up by 0.9 percent month-on-month and 15.2 percent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

 

Prices in Northeast China's production areas remained unchanged when compared to August, but was up by 15.5 percent year-on-year. The price in the Yellow River and Huaihe River production areas increased by 0.8 percent month-on-month and 14.9 percent year-on-year.

 

The average wholesale corn price in China's corn sales areas reached RMB1,761/tonne, up by 1.5 percent month-on-month and 17.9 percent on-year.

 

In the last ten days of September, the corn price in Northeast China's production areas dropped by 0.9 percent when compared to the end of August.
