US corn prices power ahead

The wait is over for US corn growers who are waiting to see a price increase in their corn crops, Chris Hurt, Purdue University agricultural economist, said Monday (Oct 23).

High prices are here to stay for this year and the next, Hurt added.

Corn prices rose strongly the past week when the USDA cut its September corn production estimate by 2 percent.
