EU eases rules on Russian poultry meat transit

 
 

A new procedure came into force on October 5, 2010 for the transit of Russian poultry meat through the territory of the EU, according to Rosselkhoznadzor, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance.

 

According to the Regulation, Russia is included into the list of third countries that do not need any special veterinary approach for transit of poultry meat and poultry meat products through the territory of the Union.

 

Now Russian poultry products may be transported through the Union directly or with intermediate storage but with no right for import according to the certificates agreed between the countries.
