Delacon officially enters China's feed additives market
Delacon International, one of the pioneers in the phytogenic feed additives field, launched its phytogenic products, Biostrong 510 and Fresta F. Conc., in China on Tuesday (Oct 20), which marked its official entrance into the country's feed additives market.
With its close working ties with major feed companies such as Land O'Lakes Purina Feed LLC, Delacon's products are thus widely used in Europe and the US, according to Andreas Asamer, the company's marketing and sales director. He added that the company's products are also well-received in Taiwan since their introduction into the country's market six years ago.
Mr. Asamer stressed that Delacon is confident in its business operations in China with the thorough research and study the company has done.
The company has a good track record in handling its raw material sources, standardisation of product contents and microencapsulation technology as well as a fine computation of its experiments, introduced Dr. Lin Chung-Chih, Delacon's technical manager. He added that some of the company's products are currently undergoing laboratory tests in Beijing Agricultural University and Sichuan Agricultural University.
According to Dr. Sze Eng Kian, Delacon's Asia Pacific regional manager, both Biostrong 510 and Fresta F. Conc. consist of a well selected standardised combination of essential oils and high value herbal substances. Specifically, Biostrong 510 is used in the fattening of poultry while Fresta F. Conc. helps to improve nutrient retention to keep the sows condition during gestation and lactation as well as supporting the piglets' growth. Both products have been approved by China's Ministry of Agriculture for sale in the country.
Among those who attended the launching were representatives from the Embassy of Austria, China's major industry media as well as feed millers and distributors from over the country.
