Argentina's October 1 soy industry stocks up 30 percent on-year

Argentina's oilseed industry held soy stocks totalling 3,772,104 tonnes as of October 1, up 30 percent from the same date in 2006, according to the Agriculture Secretariat's latest data.

Soyoil stocks totalled 330,612 tonnes as of October 1, up from 219,440 tonnes held at the same date last year.

Stocks of soy pellets totalled 1,133,604 tonnes, up from 1,030,521 tonnes a year ago.

Argentina is the world's leading soyoil and soymeal exporter. It follows the US and Brazil in soy exports.
