India imported wheat arrivals 2.01 million tonnes to Oct 19
India's imported wheat arrivals at ports on the government's account are estimated as of Thursday at 2.01 million tonnes since April from total purchase contracts for 5.5 million tonnes, a statement from Ministry of Food said Friday (Oct 20).
Another 10 shipments carrying 552,152 tonnes are expected to arrive by Nov 15, the statement said.
Australia's monopoly wheat exporter, AWB, is meeting part of its 1.59 million tonnes wheat sales commitments to the Indian government by sourcing the grain from France.
