Three-quarters of soy planted area harvested in Ukraine
About 555,300 hectares of the planted area under soy or 75 percent of the forecast has been harvested by Ukrainian farmers.
The soy harvest was 681,500 tonnes at an average yield of 1.23 tonnes/hectare, with Kherson (154.500 tonnes) and Poltava (105.600 tonnes) being
major contributors, according to a representative of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
The country's harvested area for the same period last year was 389.500 hectares. The soy harvest was 572,700 tonnes at an average yield of 1.47 tonnes/hectare.
