Light post-festive demand holds China vitamin C prices flat
Trade was light during and after the long October holidays. On one hand, buyers have stockpiled ample inventories during late September; on the other hand, demand was slow as animal population has shrunk substantially following September's pre-festive releasing.
As of October 18, offer prices for pharmaceutical-grade vitamin C stayed at RMB24-25/kg..
With demand soft and supplies ample, vitamin C prices are poised to stay weak.
