Cargill Vietnam gets Best Pig Feed Award at Vietstock 2014

Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's livestock department has presented Cargill with the best pig feed award for 2014.

The award, presented at the Vietnam Livestock Industry Awards (Vietstock) 2014, honours individuals and organisations for initiatives and their great contribution to the development of Vietnam's livestock industry.

Cargill is among 14 enterprises acknowledged for excellent achievements in the management and development of livestock, poultry, egg production, feed production, and sales of livestock products in Vietnam.

The award winning pig feed is tailored to the unique needs of Vietnam feed manufacturers, retailers and livestock producers. Cargill has more than 20 animal feed technology centres around the globe. These Cargill technology centres provide the platform for improved feed formulations to meet animal metabolism and welfare needs, while addressing market trends and business priorities for wholesome pork products.

Cargill recently completed a US$20 million animal feed mill expansion in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province. It has become one of Cargill's eight compound feed mills in Vietnam. With this expansion, Cargill has invested more than US$110 million in Vietnam's livestock and aquaculture industry since 1997.

Meanwhile, at the close of the three-day Vietstock 2014 livestock, feed and meat industry exhibition, five exemplary exhibitors were handed awards.  Emivest Feedmill Vietnam got the "Best Booth Design" award, with Zoetis Vietnam receiving the "Most Attractive Booth" citation.

The Holland Pavilion was named the "Most Informative Booth" while that of Mebipha  the "Most Popular Booth."  Phytobiotics was cited for its "Most Innovative Booth."
