Ghana's government urged to revive poultry sector
Ghana's poultry sector is still facing crises such as uncompetitive interest rates, lack of high subsidising cost of corn production and tariffs to enable poultry farmers to compete with other international products.
The Chairman and Managing Director of Darko Farms, Kwabena Darko, raised these concerns in a local radio interview.
Mr Darko said, the Ghanaian poultry farmer has the capacity and the modern techniques comparable to others in Europe and Asia.
For him, what government must do is to re-examine the negative factors militating against the industry and support the private sector to deliver.
