Canada finds AH1N1-infected turkeys
Canadian health officials on Tuesday (Oct 20) announced the country's first case of turkeys catching the AH1N1 flu virus, likely from humans.
The outbreak occurred on a farm in Ontario province, and was the second outbreak after Chile reported a case in August.
Officials said the flock in Ontario province had been quarantined and none of the birds or their eggs had entered the food chain.
Arlene King, Ontario's chief medical health officer, said the risk to human health is minimal.
