Prices of vitamin B12 in China were generally weak in recent days, despite stable trade.

Recent offer prices of imported and locally produced vitamin B12 (high-pressure liquid) generally hovered at RMB340/kg and were in the range of RMB320-325/kg respectively. Transacted prices were generally lower by about RMB5/kg.

Meanwhile, offer and transacted prices of locally produced vitamin B12 (ultra-violet examined) generally hovered at RMB180/kg and RMB175/kg respectively. Transacted prices fell by about RMB2/kg from pre-National Day holiday levels.

It was reported that vitamin B12 producers in Hebei province were engaged in intense competition, thus causing a decline in prices there. Consequently, prices of vitamin B12 in China generally moved lower lately, with further weakening seen in the near term.
