China locally produced vitamin B6 prices generally firm on tight supplies

Prices of vitamin B6 in China were generally firm in recent days, due to tight supplies nationwide.

Transacted prices of locally produced vitamin B6 in northern and southern regions were in the range of RMB128-130/kg and RMB130-132/kg respectively.

The difference in transacted prices of imported vitamin B6 by DSM was more significant between northern and southern regions. The prices were in the range of RMB140-142/kg and close to RMB145/kg respectively. Prices were generally stable compared with early October.

Many Chinese producers of vitamin B6 have incurred losses due to the recent rise in oil prices. Some have produced below full capacity or suspending production completely. This has helped to keep prices of vitamin B6 in China stable lately.
