Market Analysis

Soymeal market setback and weak seasonal demand weighed on rapeseed meal prices over the week. Cottonseed meal, which saw prices tumbling recently under harvest pressure, became more competitive than rapeseed meal, which further dimmed the latter’s appeal.

Market Forecast

Rapeseed meal prices are seen on soft trends in the near term, but declines will likely be limited, to some extent, by crushers' reluctance to ramp up operation given high production costs and slack demand.
