China locally produced vitamin B1 prices generally higher from tight supplies

Tight vitamin B1 supplies in China caused its prices to edge higher in recent days. Offer prices of locally produced vitamin B1 in northern regions were in the range of RMB128-130/kg, while transacted prices were between RMB127/kg and RMB128/kg there.

Meanwhile, offer prices of locally produced vitamin B1 in southern regions hovered at RMB130/kg, with transacted prices in the range of RMB128-130/kg, up by about RMB1-2/kg from early October.    

Concluding, analysts expected prices of vitamin B1 in China to remain firm in the near term, as supplies of local producers were seen to be tight in coming weeks.
