Philippines buys 45,800 tonnes soymeal, 5,400 tonnes soybeans
A group of Philippine feed millers and livestock producers has bought 45,800 tonnes of soymeal and 5,400 tonnes of soybeans for shipment between Dec 15 and Jan 15, traders said Wednesday (Oct 18).
"The deal was closed yesterday (Tuesday)," one trader said.
The group bought 17,300 tonnes of Indian soymeal at US$236.75/tonne, on a cost-and-freight basis, from trading firm Bunge for delivery between Dec 15 and Jan 15, traders said.
The group bought from Starcom Resources of India 28,500 tonnes of Argentine soymeal and 5,400 tonnes of Argentine soybeans, they added.
No contract price for the deal with Starcom was immediately available.
