China's soy imports rose to nearly five million tonnes in September, a 12% increase compared to August 2012.

According to the General Administration of Customs, China's 2011-2012 soy imports totalled 59.23 million tonnes, rose 13.2% on-year.

China's soy imports in October are expected reach 3.3-3.5 million tonnes and approximately 5.2 million tonnes in November, according to China National Grain and Oil Information Centre.
