China detects sub-standard imported milk
More than 270 tonnes of imported milk powder failed to fulfill the quality standards set by China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
According to the Global Times report, citing Beijing-based Legal Evening News, more than half of the unqualified milk powder was from Australia and New Zealand, and top brands such as Heinz were also involved. The sub-standard milk powder was not sold in the mainland.
