Adisseo's Rovabio Max provides 1.5g available phosphorus per kg of feed
In all trials that have been conducted so far, Adisseo's RovabioÂ® Max has been proven to provide at least 1.5 g available phosphorus per kg of feed at the single dosage of 500 FTU/kg.
Adisseo has invested more than EUR1 million in more than 20 trials across species since 2008 to figure out the synergistic value of RovabioÂ® Max, a combination of RovabioÂ® Excel, Adisseo's carbohydrase and phytase.
Knowing RovabioÂ® Excel and phytase effects separately is not sufficient, as they may have contrary effects, for example on feed intake. Both enzymes have to be combined in specific experimental design to get more insights on the combination effect.
In all trials carried out so far, challenging both energy and phosphorus in the same experimental design, RovabioÂ® Max has been proven to provide at least 1.5 g available phosphorus per kg of feed at the single dosage of 500 FTU/kg in addition to energy (from 85 to 105 kcal/kg in broilers depending on diet type). With the combined enzymatic solution, flexibility in energy reformulation is gained.
RovabioÂ® Max proves to be an effective phytase product because combined with RovabioÂ® Excel, the versatile carbohydrase, removes the "cage" effect and decreases viscosity, and thus allows better access to feed phytate. In total, it is 20 enzyme activities in one.
All trials prove that RovabioÂ® Max can safely replace 1.5g av.P/kg and at least 85 kcal/kg (broilers) of metabolisable energy, leading to substantial feed cost savings.
To guarantee phytase action, enough substrate should be present, especially if RovabioÂ® Max is valued up to 2 g av. P /kg at the same dosage (500 FTU/kg), as shown in some trials. It is estimated that 1.5g av.P can be released from 2.5g phytic phosphorus, which is about 60%.
One single dosage is effective and profitable as based on literature, response to phosphorus level reaches a plateau and that phytase action is limited by phytate availability. RovabioÂ® Max allows the best utilisation of feed phytate for reaching optimal Av.P level for maximum performance.
