China's corn export volume hits 4.1 million tonnes in first eight months

China exported 227,800 tonnes of corn in August and 4.147 million tonnes of corn in the first eight months of 2007, up by 83.28 percent on-year.

The destinations were mainly South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

In August, China's corn import volume reached 1,730 tonnes, while the total for the first eight months of 2007 was 8,680 tonnes, according to  China Info World.
