Ukraine issues official grain export quotas

A government decree imposing quotas on Ukrainian grain exports until the end of the year has been published on the parliament website, making the move official.

The export quotas decree replaces the earlier decree introducing the licensing of wheat exports, so no licensing is required now.

Following is a table of the quotas, in tonnes:

Wheat, meslin     400,000

Barley                600,000

Corn                  600,000

Rye                       3,000

The government had earlier intended to make the corn export quota 100,000 tonnes.

The government has yet to decide how the export quota will divided among the country's grain exporters.
