Taiwan's TSC seeks 35,000 tonnes US corn in tender

Taiwan Sugar Corp (TSC) is seeking 35,000 tonnes of US-origin corn in a tender to be concluded Thursday, a trader in Taipei said Tuesday (Oct 17).

If the corn is to be shipped from the US Gulf, it should reach Taiwan Oct 27-Nov 10, but if shipped from the Pacific Northwest, it should arrive Nov 11-25.

Taiwan Sugar had rejected all offers in a similar tender for 35,000 tonnes of US corn last Friday, without giving any reason.
