China Live Hog Weekly: Weak post-holiday demand drags down prices (week ended Oct 15, 2014)
As expected, pork demand was slack after early October's long holidays. Slaughterhouses, which have stocked ample inventories, limited purchases driving down the pork carcass slaughter volume significantly by 3.15% in the major wholesale centres. Hog prices dipped 1.4% as a result of diminished demand.
