Market analysis

Lysine trade in China was thin following pre-holiday restocking efforts earlier, while declining corn prices helped push down lysine production costs.

In Europe, prices for late Q4 orders rose to EUR1.94-1.97/kg, while those for 2012 Q1 deliveries were in the range of EUR1.93-1.94/kg.

Market forecast

Rising feed demand and low producer inventory levels should limit the downside for lysine prices in the near term.
