Global market for feed antioxidants to hit $216.8 million in 2018

The market for animal feed antioxidants is poised to grow to US$216.8 million by 2018, a market research report said.

The report, prepared by the US-based Transparency Market Research, said the market will be driven by the rising global demand for livestock products including milk, eggs and meat.

Animal feed antioxidants increase the shelf life of animal feed especially in moisture-laden and humid areas of South America and Asia, which are more prone to oxidation.

Antioxidants prevent the deterioration of feed nutrients like pigments, vitamins, fats and flavoring agents found in the feed.
