Stable supply keeps China methionine prices unchanged
Prices were stable during the week ended October 14.
The supplier of one major imported dl-methionine quoted in the range of RMB31.50-32/kg.
Buyers stockpiled inventories cautiously, helping to underpin methionine prices. However, as supplies from Japan showed no signs of reducing, feed millers were less eager to accumulate high inventories.
Livestock feed demand is unlikely to increase tremendously in the coming period. Unless supplies from Japan are disrupted, methionine market in China is expected to stay stable.
