Kyrgyzstan produces over 800,000 tonnes grains
As of October 9, 2012, Kyrgyzstan harvested grains throughout the areas of 463,400 hectares (97%), and produced 808,900 tonnes with the average yield of 17.5 centners/hectare.
Kyrgyzstan almost completed the harvesting campaign of grain crops, declared the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the announcement, wheat production totalled 582,200 tonnes, barley - 226,700 tonnes.
As of the reporting date, Kyrgyzstan harvested oilseeds throughout 47,500 hectares, or 87% of the plan. Agrarians planted winter wheat for the harvest-2013 throughout 34,800 hectares, winter barley - 3,100 hectares.
