EAU Technologies' electrolysed water allowed for poultry processing
EAU Technologies, a leading provider of electrolysed water, has received a poultry processing patent for its Empowered WaterTM.
Empowered Water is produced by EAU's generators using a unique combination of electrolysis cell technology, salt and electricity to alter the ionic structure of water to create non-toxic, oxidized antimicrobial solutions and reduced antioxidant cleaning solutions.
EAU has conducted several successful trial installations to prove the efficacy of Empowered Water in poultry processing following successful trials conducted at the University of Georgia's Poultry Science Department in Athens, Georgia.
Empowered Water is currently used on a commercial basis as part of the pathogen intervention programme in one of the world's largest poultry processing facilities, which processes over 350,000 birds per day.
EAU's environmentally friendly solutions are effective at killing Salmonella, E. coli, Campylobacter as well as most other tested organisms.
