Qatar bans seafood imports from Iran and Pakistan
 

Qatar has banned the import of seafood from Iran and Pakistan, after reports emerged of high radiation detected in fish and shrimps imported from Iran into Kuwait.

Kuwait sounded an alert to the ministries of agriculture and health authorities in all Gulf countries after the finding and advised the nations to ensure the safety of local seafood, sources added.

Iran's Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture said it has sent the shrimp in question to labs for further investigation.
