Saudi Arabia's poultry export ban causes price hike fears
The recent ban on poultry products' export by Saudi Arabia has triggered a severe shortage of eggs in the country, causing retailers and consumers to fear that the price of poultry and eggs will increase.
The short supplies are a result of the Saudi government imposing a blanket ban on the export of poultry products due to the upcoming Haj season, market sources said.
In the past, the Saudi government only imposed restrictions on poultry export but this time around, the ban is total.
