Indonesia's Charoen aims to up chicken sales by five percent
Chicken producer PT Charoen Pokhhand Indonesia said it is set to increase its 2009 chicken sales by five per cent to Rp13.1 trillion (US$1.32 billion) from last year.
Thomas Effendy, the president of the producer of day-old chickens (DOC) and animal feed said in the first half of the year the company reported Rp6.72 trillion in sales with net profit at Rp631.44 billion.
The market trend continued through the third quarter of the year, Effendy said.
The market of DOCs and animal feed are good, he said, adding the prices of its products grew by more than 10 percent.
