Vietnam Minh Phu Seafood rakes in US$109.5 million in Jan-Sep
Minh Phu Seafood JS Company (MPC) has announced earnings of US$109.5 million from exporting 10,980 tonnes of shrimp in Jan-Sept, up 2 percent in value and up 18 percent in volume from a year earlier.
US remains the biggest buyer of MPC shrimp with over 4,766 tonnes worth US$52 million in the period, accounting for 47.5 percent of the company's turnover, the company said in a statement.
Canada and South Korea followed with 13.7 percent and 12.5 percent, respectively.
MPC, with a 5.18 percent stake owned by Red River Holding, targets to gain US$162 million from exporting 15,500 tonnes of seafood this year.
The Ca Mau province-based processor also expects its net revenues and pretax profit to rise to VND3.17 trillion and VND236 billion, respectively.
