Kanters names new managing director
The Netherlands-based Kanters Special Products B.V., specialist in nutritional supplements for animals, has appointed a new managing director -- Jan Notten.
He takes the place of Ivonne Kanters, who has decided "to pursue her career outside the company," according to a Kanters announcement.
The announcement says Mr. Notten has" a long and broad experience in the food sector" and is eager to use this experience to realise Kanters' "ambitious growth plans."
The company says it is "pleased to have Notten on board and considers him an excellent" choice as Ms. Kanters' successor.
Mr. Notten, the company statement said, "comes with a wealth of experience in the food industry." He started his career at Mars Inc. where he held various international senior management positions in sales, business development and human resources.
After leaving Mars Inc. he moved to Royal Wessanen, initially as the commercial director for Beckers, the frozen snacks specialist. Later on, Notten became executive vice president for transatlantic alliances of Wessanen, working from their head offices.
A specialist in liquid nutritional supplements for animals, Kanters has been at the forefront of efforts to stop the use of antibiotics in animals. Its solutions, administered via drinking water, are based on minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and organic acids.
The company is also into the production of cleaning and disinfection agents for (water) pipelines, chickpaper and hoofcare products.
