Taiwan TFMA Buys 60,000 MT US Wheat From CGI, Toepfer
The Taiwan Flour Millers Association bought 60,000 metric tons of US No. 1 wheat from trading houses Columbia Grains International and Toepfer in a tender concluded Wednesday, said a Taipei-based trader.
TFMA bought one cargo of wheat at prices ranging from $151.76-$187.39 a ton, free on board from the Columbia River District, including Portland, the trader said.
CGI sold both the Dark Northern Spring and Western White varieties, while Toepfer sold Hard Red Winter wheat, the trader said.
A separate freight rate of $43.90/ton will be charged on top of all FOB prices, the trader said.
The cargo is set to be shipped between Dec. 10-24. CGI and Toepfer can choose to provide 5% more or less of the tendered quantity, the trader said.
