EU to inspect Ukrainian livestock and food producers

 
 

European inspectors will examine Ukrainian enterprises producing meat, milk and fish for veterinary preparation standard in the relevant products, the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine informs.

 

On October 12-22, inspectors of Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) and EU Directorate General for Health and Consumer Affairs (DG SANGO) will make a verification visit to Ukraine. The aim of the visit is to assess the pollutant levels in live animals and animal products, and also control over veterinary preparations.

 

During an audit, it plans to visit Irkliyiv fish breeding farm (in the centre of Cherkasy region), Pyriatyn cheese making factory and a milk farm in Pyriatyn district, Poltava region (Ukraine's centre), as well as Agromars poultry breeding farm (Kyiv region).
