Bangladesh to produce poultry vaccine within a year
Bangladesh will produce much-needed poultry vaccine locally within a year, according to the Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI).
Secretary-General of the association Abdul Muktadir said Bangladesh has to import poultry vaccines to meet a huge local demand, reflecting the need for local production.
Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque said the government has taken all necessary steps to enhance its drug-testing lab capacity to promote the local pharmaceuticals.
DDA Assistant Director AA Salim Barami also said the fast-track registration procedure is applicable to all imported pre-qualified vaccines that are used in national immunisation programme and supplied through UN or purchased directly by the government.
