The Nhat Chau Animal Feed Im-Export and Trade Co. Ltd, the first company to export animal feed to Cambodia said it initially exported only 100 tonnes to 200 tonnes to Cambodia monthly, but the volume has risen to 700 tonnes to 800 tonnes currently.
Tran Anh Tuan, vice chairman of the Long Binh town's People's Committee said many companies are exporting Cargill, Newhop and Hiro's feed for duck, pig, chicken and fish to Cambodia via Khanh Binh border gate, An Phu district of An Giang province.
According to local animal feed exporting companies, to export the feed to Cambodia, they have to receive license from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and their product meets quality standards set by Cambodia.
