China September soy imports at 1.89 million tonnes 

China's soy imports in September reached 1.89 million tonnes, preliminary data provided Friday by the General Administration of Customs showed.

Total imports in January-September rose 2.1 percent on year to 21.69 million tonnes, it said, without providing the on-year change for September alone.

The country also exported 380,000 tonnes of corn in September, according to the customs department.

Exports in January-September totaled 4.53 million tonnes, up 98 percent on year.
