China's Chonqing sees a 58.5 percent on-year increase in Q3 pig prices

 

 

Live pig prices in the Chinese city of Chongqing for the third quarter are up 58.5 percent over the same quarter last year.

 

The increase was the highest among livestock products in the city, according to China Info World.

 

Lean pork price saw the next largest increase, up 54 percent compared to the same quarter last year.

 

Average meat, poultry and egg prices in the Municipality all saw significant increases, according to a special investigation released by the Chongqing Municipal Agricultural Bureau.

 

The study focused on ten municipal agricultural product markets and six meat, poultry and egg products
