Russia lifts ban on poultry imports from US state Maryland

The Russian agricultural products quality watchdog Rosslekhoznadzor announced Wednesday (Oct 11) it was lifting as of Thursday the ban on the import of poultry from the US state of Maryland imposed Sep 8 after reports of bird flu cases registered in that state.

The ban remains in force on the poultry import from the state of Pennsylvania, imposed at the same time as the Maryland ban.
