Average price of three major grains in China rise 11 percent on-year
 

 

The average purchase price of three major grains in China: wheat, corn and rice rose nearly 11 percent on-year and 1.2 percent on-month during September, a report by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) showed.

 

The purchase price of paddy rice, wheat and corn by State-owned and non-State-owned grain enterprises in 25 major grain producing provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities averaged RMB 79.68 (US$10.60 )  per 50 kg in September, up 1.21 percent month on month and 10.96 percent year on year.

 

Wheat averaged RMB 75.79 (US$10.08), up 1.82 percent on-month and 10.18 percent on-year; while corn at RMB 73.62 (US$9.80), was up 0.67 percent on-month and 16.08 percent on-year.
