Cargill's Seara expands poultry processing capacity in Brazil
Cargill's Seara Alimentos is investing US$9.5 million to expand its poultry processing capacity of its plant at Nuporanga (Sao Paulo) by 75 percent.
The funds would also enable the plant to adopt a third working shift.
The investment would be supplemented by US$15 million from integrated farmers that supply Seara.
Seara is a major Brazilian poultry and pork processor, with seven poultry processing facilities, two pork processing facilities, nine feed production facilities, seven distribution centers and one port terminal in Brazil.
